Our Story

Redefining strength within ourselves

Matt and Candace have been training folks professionally for over 10 years. After years of experience as both athletes and coaches, searching for our goals and to help others achieve theirs, we have come to understand that strength does not mean what we thought it meant. Strength is much more than a time traveled or a weight lifted, it is a true sense of self, available and accessible to all those who are willing to spend the time to seek it out. This is why we started inner strength, to help others feel this feeling of strength, the feeling that we all already possess, we just need to learn to access it.

In 2017, Candace and Matt met over their earliest movement passions of powerlifting and strength training. Since then we have grown together and learned to love a variety of different activities, exploring what our bodies are capable of inside the gym and outside on the trail. From hiking to triathlon, to continued pursuits in traditional strength training, we have continued to explore what it means to be “strong” in a variety of different environments. These years of experience searching for a feeling in these pursuits is what motivated us to share these methods, both scientific and philosophical, with those who are curious enough to learn about themselves.
